Welcome to Hunter Valley
The Hunter Valley is Australia's premier wine growing district. The magic starts just two hours' drive from Sydney, but you could be forgiven for thinking the Hunter Valley is much further from the city. The serene beauty and tranquillity of the area give the Hunter Valley the feeling of quiet country charm, but with all the mod cons.
Affectionately known as Wine Country, the Hunter Valley is a feast for the senses (particularly taste!). Spend your time sampling some of Australia's finest wines and enjoy top quality cuisine. But it's not just wine tasting and cheese tours. Aside from being a foodies dream, the Hunter Valley is steeped in quaint history and historical architecture, much of which you can learn about by visiting the various museums and historical tours. The Hunter Valley also boasts an abundance of wildlife in a world class National Park and one of Australia's most scenic golf courses. And if you feel tired from a long drive to Hunter Velley, getting a massage to refresh yourself is one of the great choice. There is a good massage in Cessnock, which is only 10 minutes away from Hunter Valley.
Located at the Tempus Two winery, in the heart of the Hunter Valley, it has become a favourite for locals and visitors alike. History
Bo arrived from Phuket, Thailand in 1992 to visit her sister in Newcastle and instantly falls in love with Australia. Soon an Australian investor discovered her talent to look after restaurant patrons and offered her a partnership to open the first Aloy Thai restaurant in Darby St., Newcastle. The restaurant became popular overnight and won many industry awards in the following years. The success led to create Aloy Thai franchise restaurants in Terrigal, Nelson Bay and Swansey.
In 2000 she opened her first Japanese restaurant in Hunter St., Newcastle. Her Sushi service became a hit and led to be invited to concert catering at Whydam Estate where she met the owners of Tempus Two in the Hunter Valley. They offered her and her investor to open the first and only Asian restaurant in the valley. While contemplating if it should be a Thai or Japanese restaurant they decided to do both to be on the safe side. In order to focus on the new venture they sold all restaurants to family members. Or franchisees.
In 2005 she met Wolfgang Grimm AM and they acquired the business and created a family owned and operated restaurant together with their son Patrick.
